Kirtlington Park at a glance
Kirtlington Park has long been regarded as Kwa-Zulu Natal's most prestigious equestrian estate. Morgan Creek Projects built this residential complex in 2000, and investors from all over the country came to buy one of its spacious and sizable sites. With site sizes averaging 1800m2, homeowners were able to construct the elegantly designed residences seen today. With the extra space, magnificent manicured gardens and trees provided seclusion, which is sometimes lacking in gated communities.
Kirtlington Park, Kirtlington Green, and Kirtlington Ridge are the three villages in the estate. Kirtlington Park, famed for its numerous custom-designed residences, has its entrance at 56a Inanda Road, Hillcrest, and some of its residences and paddocks can be viewed from the road. Kirtlington Green is located near the stables within Kirtlington Park and uses the same entrance. These are smaller residences constructed in a circular pattern to provide a central and common "green" space. Kirtlington Ridge is a higher-up ridge which overlooks Kirtlington Park. While the two portions are linked internally by a forest, The Ridge has its own entrance at 33 Surprise Ridge Road.
The estate features a forest section where you may spot duiker and other small creatures when driving around. Visitors frequently comment on the large lush green paddocks scattered across the estate, and families and horses may be seen strolling down the bridle paths. Residents can safely enjoy a Sunday afternoon picnic by the dam as it's located within the estate grounds.
The equestrian component includes 28 stables, an event clubhouse, a tennis court, a dressage ring, a jumping arena, and grooms' quarters. A significant draw for anyone who owns horses. Kirtlington Park is one of the rare estates whose Body Corporate Laws let owners to keep both cats and dogs. A maximum of two pets are permitted per home, and a registration process is required.
The estate prioritizes security so that residents can rest easy knowing that they are safe thanks to the many security protocols in place. The personnel is completely uniformed so that visitors and residents can clearly identify them when patrolling. Frequent fence inspections and advance access control guarantee that only individuals with access will enter the grounds.
It's easy to see why Kirtlington has earned its reputation, and everyone knows the estate by its name.
