Comrades Marathon 2024
It's that time of the year again for The Comrades Marathon, an ultramarathon race held annually in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It's one of the oldest and most prestigious ultramarathons in the world, attracting thousands of runners from around the globe. The race alternates each year between the "up" run, from Durban to Pietermaritzburg, and the "down" run, from Pietermaritzburg to Durban.
This year marks the 97th Comrades Marathon and will be the 49th Up Run on Sunday, 9th June 2024, starting at the Durban City Hall at 05h30 and ending 12 hours later at the HollywoodBets Scottville Racecourse in Pietermaritzburg covering a total distance of 85.91km.
